Our Renovations
We are delighted to announce that after extensive renovations and a lot of hard work behind the scenes, Aspect Hotel Park West has been elevated to four-star status. Our hotel, which is one of our parent company PREM Group’s largest and busiest properties, has been given an investment of €450,000 to completely reimagine the lobby, bar and restaurant and improve the look and feel of the hotel as well as the guest experience. The staff and management of Aspect Hotel welcome the change and are happy to continue to provide excellent customer care and service now in more modern, stylish surroundings.
The Design
Our new, more welcoming open plan space was designed by renowned architect Hugh Wallace, best known from RTE’s Home of the Year, someone PREM Group has relied on for his expertise and eye for detail in the past. The aim was to create a stylish all-day food and beverage operation space, opening at 7am for breakfast, through to 10pm when dinner service stops. The design approach and execution had to be flexible, allowing for a change of mood between the busy breakfast service, bustling lunchtime visitors and relaxed, easy-going dinner service. The new design allows the space to adapt and maximises guest experience as well as allowing maximum covers for the restaurant.
The Renovation
Our new restaurant design creates distinct zones within the overall space, offering flexibility for staff to cater to individual diners as well as small and large groups, seamlessly. The design includes crisply detailed natural oak slatted dividers, mirrored backdrops, beautiful fabrics and interior planting adding interest and depth to the space. The distinct spaces are joined by bespoke joinery backdrops to the foyer, bar and restaurant areas. The renovations have completely transformed the ground floor space into a comfortable and relaxing environment for hotel guests and local visitors. It also allows staff to work more efficiently and pre-empt guest needs, adding to our excellent customer service.
The Willow Restaurant
As well as our physical appearance, we have enjoyed a full restaurant rebrand. Our name has changed to The Willow Restaurant, and we have changed our menu options to modernise and revitalise our offering. We offer an extensive selection of hot and cold buffet items to be enjoyed in our new, more comfortable space. Guests can also enjoy all-day dining which includes popular favourites such as beer battered cod, house wings, homemade burgers and freshly made pizzas. Willow Restaurant is a great place to meet friends or family, relax with a coffee and a book or catch up on the latest sports on the 65-inch flat-screen TV after work.
Four Star Status
Aspect Hotel has worked hard to meet the requirements to be classified as a four-star hotel under Failte Ireland guidelines. Fáilte Ireland is responsible for ensuring that tourist accommodation maintains the highest standards of quality and meets consumer needs. As well as the usual high standard in space, design and service offered by all Irish hotels under these guidelines, four-star hotels have to offer, among many other requirements;
- Closed circuit TV cameras.
- Daily newspapers and magazines available to guests and visitors using the lobby/reception facilities.
- Additional in-room seating and side table
- Bed sizes of at least 21sq M per double/twin bed
- Suitable work surfaces provided for guest’s needs
- Full-length mirror in all bedrooms or bathrooms.
- Additional pillows available in bedrooms on request
- Hair dryer available in all bedrooms.
- Breakfast to include a range of cooked options.
